Pricing & budget

What budget to film an online course?

An online course sells hundreds of times: it is the content where perceived quality bears most directly on the price you can charge. Here is how the budget builds, and where it is really decided.

The three budget lines

A course project breaks down into filming, editing and branding. Filming counts in studio days: one well-prepared day can cover several hours of finished program, teleprompter at the ready. Course editing is priced on volume: module breakdown, chaptering, your slides embedded, subtitles, exports fitted to Kajabi, Podia, Teachable or your internal LMS.

The volume effect

It is the most underrated lever: filming 10 modules in the same day costs barely more than filming 3, because setup, lighting and warm-up are already paid for. At Recordia, the Board Room set is built for it: slides on screen, teleprompter, back-to-back modules without touching the set, and a live rough cut while you film.

Orders of magnitude

Studio hire starts at €90 excl. VAT per hour, with longer sessions at €130 excl. VAT per hour beyond the first. Editing is quoted on the volume of hours, branding level and deadlines, with an answer within 24 hours. A real benchmark: we produced 120 hours of course content in 2 months for an online education company, pre-production included.

Where to start

Write the detailed module plan first: it determines the number of filming days, hence the budget. Send it through the contact page: you get a structured quote within 24 hours, no strings attached.
